Kansas City, Mo. - Winter Weather Advisory in the month of May and no pigs are not flying in Kansas City, Mo. where they are expected to get 1 to 2 inches of snow tonight according to the National Weather Service.

We spoke briefly with Sarah Voss, who lives in Kansas City, Mo. about their current weather conditions.

The photos Sarah sent us were taken around 9 p.m. when the heaviest amount of snow was falling.  Sarah reports the snow has only be sticking to grassy areas and sidewalks.

Washington (PRnews) - In one of the most comprehensive studies of parents' views on mobile devices in education, more than 50 percent of parents believe that schools should make more use of mobile devices in education and 32 percent agree that schools should require them in the classroom.

These findings are from a new study of how parents perceive mobile learning and devices in and out of the classroom. The Living and Learning with Mobile Devices Study was conducted by Grunwald Associates and the Learning First Alliance and underwritten by AT&T*.

Hermann, Mo. – Saturday the reception hall at Hermann Hill was jam packed with over 200 fashion enthusiast for the Hermann Hospital Auxiliary 11^th annual Fashion Show, featuring local designer Katie Kantley.

The old “fashions” in how charities raise money has slowly changed over the years as new “trends” continue to evolve from creative “design” ideas, creating new and unique events to raise money.

Director of Public Relations Keva Limberg told QuickNewsNow, “The idea of doing a fashion show to raise money was an idea we came up with and went for it.”

St. Clair, Mo. – Late Monday morning 36-year-old David Utz from Washington, Mo. was taken into custody after breaking into a vehicle, which led to Franklin County deputies chasing the suspect earlier in the morning around 6:05 a.m.

The police chase began after a resident on Elmwood Church Road off of Highway 47, approximately 12 miles south of St. Clair, reported seeing someone tampering with her vehicle.

St. Clair, Mo. - Today at the Four Rivers Conference Meet, three sophomores and one senior, Hannah Pruessner, Kiersten Monzyk, Taylor Covington, and Molly Munsinger, ran the fastest time ever in 4x400 relay at the Four Rivers Conference meet, setting a new record of 4:12.93 (correction made)

After further research, Coach John Tucker just informed us the school record is 4:12.2, however they did break the Four Rivers Conference Record, which is quite an accomplishment with New Haven being the smallest school in the FRC.

While the school record still stands, the FRC record is now owned by the green and white.

New Haven, Mo. –Citizens Bank has teamed up with AT&T to promote driving without texting through the “It Can Wait” campaign provided by AT&T.  The campaign is designed to promote Awareness, Commitment, and Influence in hopes of curving a growing epidemic by asking students and parents to sign a pledge not to text and drive.

Part of Friday afternoon’s assembly at New Haven High School, students watched “The Last Text” as seen in the video above, a 10-minute documentary that features real stories of lives drastically altered – or even ended – because of texting while driving.

Representative Dave Schatz, for the first time spoke publically about how texting and driving personally affected him and his family.
