UPDATED: Another Tractor Trailer Overturns On Highway E - Roof Of Trailer Ripped Off

NEW HAVEN, Mo.
-  According to the MSHP, 61-year-old Jerry Burns of Wolfe City, Tx sustained minor injuries after he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway causing him to travel off the north side of the roadway before striking several trees.

Burns was traveling west on Highway E at the time of the accident.  Burns was also wear his seatbelt.

12:11 p.m. - This morning at 10:28 a.m. New Haven/Berger Fire and New Haven EMS responded to Highway E, one mile west of Kaiser Hill Road for another tractor trailer overturned.

This comes after Friday’s overturned tractor trailer that left one person transported to the hospital by helicopter.

The tractor trailer was traveling west of Highway E when they ran off the right side of the highway, traveling approximately 220 feet, overturning and ripping off a portion of the trailer’s roof.

The driver was transported by New Haven EMS to Mercy Hospital in Washington, Mo.  The extent of his injuries are not known at this time.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident to determine the exact cause.
