Autopsy Report Of 8-Year-Old Reveals No Immediate Signs Of Death

Strain Japan, Mo. - Franklin County Sheriff Gary Toelke just released a statement regarding the autopsy conducted this morning on 8-year-old Bradley Voss

Sheriff Toelke said that an autopsy was conducted this morning by the St. Louis County Medical Examiner, which indicated no immediate signs for a cause of death. 

The examination will not be complete until toxicology results are returned, which could take several weeks.

There are still no indications of foul play.

Sheriff Toelke also said that everyone is working together in an attempt to determine the cause.

9:30 a.m. - This morning family, friends, and Strain Japan Elementary School are mourning the death of 8-year-old Bradley Voss after he suddenly collapsed after boarding a school bus yesterday afternoon.

This morning Franklin County Sheriff Gary Toelke released the following statement about yesterday’s tragic events.

Yesterday afternoon at approximately 3:44 p.m., Deputies responded to Strain Japan School in reference to an unresponsive 8-year old boy.

Deputies determined that Bradley Voss, age 8 of Strothkamp Lane, located outside Sullivan, Mo. had been transported to Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan. 

Bradley had reported a headache to his mother before leaving for school in the morning and was given standard medication such as Tylenol or aspirin.

The school reported that there were no indications of illness throughout the day.  After school, Bradley boarded his bus and while on the bus, he fell to the floor and was unresponsive. 

The bus driver performed CPR on Bradley until arrival of emergency personnel.  He was transported to Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan where he was pronounced dead.

Cause of death has not been determined.  An autopsy is scheduled for this morning at the St. Louis County Medical Examiner’s Office in St. Louis.  No foul play is suspected at this time.
