Ex-Boyfriend Plows Truck Into Mobile Home

Sullivan, Mo. - On August 4, at approximately 3:20 AM, deputies responded to a residence in the 100 block of Chapel Park Drive outside Sullivan in reference to an assault.

The caller stated that subjects were attempting to subdue the suspect. A weapon was also said to be involved.

Upon arrival, deputies learned that the ex-boyfriend of a female now dating a subject living at this residence showed up and allegedly drove his truck in to the mobile home residence as Deputies observed upon arrival.

The victims reported that they observed the truck drive past the residence a couple of times until it drove into the residence causing damage to the kitchen.  No one was injured during the crash but reporting parties stated that they were injured during altercations with the driver of the truck.  A 9MM handgun was also located inside the residence but had been secured prior to the arrival of law enforcement.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested for investigation of assault in the 1st degree and DWI.  He stated that he was upset because his girlfriend had cheated on him.

Garrett B. Kennedy, 21 of St. Clair, been formally charged with one count of Felony Property Damage. His bond has been set at $25,000. Additional formal charges are expected.
