Washington, Mo. – Chris Harrawood, Leslie, told Quick News on Saturday, “I just entered the race for fun, I never thought I would end up in the finals or the Top Three”.

Harrawood raced against eight other UTVs in the finals, following an afternoon of qualifiers, and ended up taking Third Place in his class.

This was the first year the Washington Town and Country Fair hosted a UTV (Utility Terrain Vehicle) race.

Harrawood competed in the 850cc Unlimited Class.  First Place went to Steven Gifford of Indianola, Ia. and Second Place went to Frank Tidd of Festus, Mo.  Harrawood is the owner of Harrawood Equipment in Leslie.
