New Haven 4-H Rocks Washington T&C Fair Livestock

Washington, Mo. - New Haven 4-H members represented the area with pride at the Washington Town and Country Fair last week, receiving several awards.

Brittany Byram received the Senior Sheep Showmanship Award at the Washington Town and Country Fair on Wed., August 7.

The Showmanship Award recognizes 4-H and FFA members who have excelled at showing their animal at the fair as well as their knowledge of animal husbandry and livestock production. 

Byram was also one of 17 students who made up the 2013 Junior Fair Board.

The New Haven 4-H Sheep Project members received the Herdsman Award as a group.

The Livestock Committee judged 4-H Clubs and FFA Chapters on maintaining the neat exhibits and the quality of their educational displays.
