NHHS National Honor Society Donates $2,000 To Track Project

NEW HAVEN, Mo.- During half time at the varsity boys basketball game, Friday Feb. 6, the New Haven High School chapter of the National Honor Society presented a donation to the New Haven Track Project.

The group raised $2000 during the Jingle Jog 5K Run/Walk, which they hosted Dec. 6.

Members of the organization presented the check to Dave Engelbrecht, who represented the New Haven Track Committee.

During the presentation, National Honor Society president, Beth Schenck, said close to 100 participants partook in the Jingle Jog 5K Run/Walk.

Schenck also said the New Haven Track Project has raised more than $311,000 in the last 15 months.

During the first phase of the project, a goal of $350,000 has been set to construct the first synthetic 8-lane track for the high school.
