UPDATED: One Airlifted In ATV Accident On Excelsior Road

NEW HAVEN, Mo. - According the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 16-yea-old Anthony Pataky of New Haven, Mo. was driving a 1997 Polaris Sportsmann eastbound on Excelsior Road when he lost control, causing the ATV to overturn.

Riding with Pataky was 23-year-old Amber Walsh, who sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur, Mo.  The driver did not sustain any injuries.

According to the MSHP neither individuals were wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.


Sunday 10:30 p.m. - One person was flown by ARCH helicopter after sustaining injuries whe the ATV they were on overturned.

Sunday evening at 7:09 p.m. New Haven/Berger Fire and New Haven EMS responded to Excelsior Road, approximately two miles from Highway Y for an ATV accident.

The ATV was traveling on Excelsior Road when the accident occurred.  The accident is still under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and at this time information about what caused the accident has not been released.

We do know there were two individuals on the ATV, but do not know if the second individual sustained any injuries or not.

Once the MSHP releases information we will update this story.
