April 30th - Go about your day with enthusiasm, passion, and purpose. If you come up against resistance, move through it.

Have courage – Ask for what you need, speak your truth, own your story, set boundaries and reach out for support. Don’t be to humble to ask for help.

Trust in God. We can only see a little ways down the road, but God can see around every curve and roadblock.

April 29th - Yesterday evening my sister, Janice and I started a Make a Wish journey with a beautiful little seven year old girl. She was diagnosed with Leukemia in September of 2012. The journey of her treatments is 26 months. Later this year she will be finishing them up and moving on to maintaining. By looking at her playing with her four siblings’ one would never know she’s battling this terrible disease. Her mom says there are days when things aren't the best, but that she’s a real trooper. We immediately fell in love with her and her family…After just one visit I can see this experience as being a long lasting relationship.

If you feel the desire to give back, consider Make a Wish. The organization serves children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 18 years with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. If you’re interested in becoming involved and want more information please don’t hesitate to contact me. You have nothing to lose and so much to gain!!!

April 28th - What God brings you through every day of your life is going to the testimony that brings somebody else through. You will be His proof of Faith. Push through what you think is hard and impossible, for someday it will makes others’ lives easier.

Faith, if He brings you to it…He will see you through it.

Father, thank you for encouraging me. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." Jeremiah 29:11.

April 27 - What God brings you through every day of your life is going to the testimony that brings somebody else through. You will be His proof of Faith. Push through what you think is hard and impossible, for someday it will makes others’ lives easier. Faith, if He brings you to it…He will see you through it.

Father, thank you for encouraging me. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." Jeremiah 29:11

April 26 - Today's Inspiration is just small reminders with scripture to back them up. When I look back at pictures from almost a year ago I see and feel such thankfulness. Never, never give up and always, always look for the good in things. Our Heavenly Father never wants us to hurt or be burdened...bring it all to Him in pray...:)

Lord help me to have grace and see others through Your eyes.

"If you search for good, you will find favor; but if you search for evil, it will find you!" - Proverbs 11:27

"Scars are beautiful when we see them as glorious reminders that we courageously survived.” - Lysa TerKeurst

"Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don't get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil." - Proverbs 4:26-27

April 25 - Before you leave the house, you need to make up your mind that you’re going to stay positive and enjoy the day no matter what comes your way. You have to decide ahead of time.

Believing in yourself is the gateway to a happier life, and by the way, it's a life YOU deserve.

A strong positive self-image is the best possible preparation for success in life. ~ Dr. Joyce Brothers

April 24th - Shine your light so others can see through their darkness. The brightest stars are those who shine for the benefit of others!!

Romans 8:28 says, “All things work together for good to those who love God.” The key word is together. A difficulty on its own may not make sense, but when it all comes together one day, it’ll make sense. Every opportunity you have, be good to people. You don’t know why God has put that person in your path. It’s not a coincidence. God has strategically lined up every detail, every step of your life.

April 23 - "When I say: I have nothing special to offer. God says: I have given you unique talents and abilities to serve Me and others." For when you try to be someone you are not; it only hinders you from being that special person God has made you to be.

For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have. 2 Cor. 8:12

April 22 - “Our citizenship is in heaven”... - Philippians 3:20

I wish I would have been one of those moms who had it all together, but I was not! Like many of you I didn’t know how to say “No” when asked to be involved…I’d find myself feeling stressed with not enough time to get everything done….between working full time, being a mom and volunteering. I look back now and see how blessed I really was to be involved with my girls and that just how God helped me through it all…those times were only a small part of my life. Learn to trust in Him to carry you through the hectic times and cherish every memory you get in return. Remember we are here for only a short time.

“Heaven is my home, I'm just traveling through this world." ~ Billy Graham

April 21 - What a beautiful day it is! How blessed are we to be able to reflect on our excitement of not seeing our Savior now, but still believing and knowing we have eternal life.

Knowing after we are done with everything God has planned for us here on this earth we have a beautiful place to go and live happily ever after. We may experience many trials and grief, but daily we are blessed with a brand-new life. God is so good and refreshing!! Our God is not dead…He is very alive in us. Shine so others will want what you have….FAITH!!

From The Message – 1 Peter 1:3-9

What a God we have! And how fortunate we are to have him, this Father of our Master Jesus! Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we’ve been given a brand-new life and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven—and the future starts now! God is keeping careful watch over us and the future. The Day is coming when you’ll have it all—life healed and whole.

I know how great this makes you feel, even though you have to put up with every kind of aggravation in the meantime. Pure gold put in the fire comes out of it proved pure; genuine faith put through this suffering comes out proved genuine. When Jesus wraps this all up, it’s your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of his victory.

You never saw him, yet you love him. You still don’t see him, yet you trust him—with laughter and singing. Because you kept on believing, you’ll get what you’re looking forward to: total salvation.

April 20 - He is risen. He is risen indeed! Alleluia!

Not much more needs to be said, He is alive!!! But you all know I won’t stop there. All

His pain and suffering gives us new life.

All Christians have been we celebrating Holy Week together, beginning on Palm Sunday with Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem. We followed him throughout his last week, ending with Good Friday service. It was a dark night – we faced our own sin and the suffering of Jesus in our place.

Then, on Saturday, as I mentioned yesterday, we waited…

Finally, on Easter Sunday we joined together for worship – not to mourn the death of Jesus, but to celebrate his resurrection! We sing, we pray, we hear the Gospel proclaimed, we take Communion together, and we go out to share this glorious news of victory, hope, and grace with the world around us. What an amazing day!

But I think some forget that Easter is not simply a one day thing. We are always in the Easter season and should be sharing the resurrection daily. Because He is ALIVE we have forgiveness and eternal life….we should feel ALIVE as well. When you attend church this morning don’t forgot your smile. Easter is all about the life we have been given here on earth and the promise of what to come…“The BEST is yet to come.” Happy Easter to all. ~ Brenda

April 19 - One more day until our Savior rises from the dead. Jesus has forgiven every sin – not only the wrong things we have done but every wrong thing we will ever do. Big or small it’s on us to ask for forgiveness and in turn forgive others….it’s that simple!

He has paid for all our sins and errors by shedding His Blood on the cross for them and has determined to cleanse us from them forever. Until tomorrow…Happy Easter Eve!!
…the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all the sin and guilt. 1 John 1:7

Apirl 17 - “All the adversity I've had in my life, all my troubles and obstacles, have strengthened me. You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.”  - Walt Disney

Facing giants in life? We can focus on how inadequate we are... how big the issues are....or instead just how faithful God is! Sometimes we will fall DOWN because there is something down there we’re supposed to find, but with FAITH in Him we have the comfort of knowing our Heavenly Father is always there to bring us back up.

"The whole earth will know that there's an extraordinary God and the battle belongs to Him." 1 Samuel 17: 45-47.

April 16th - “All the adversity I've had in my life, all my troubles and obstacles, have strengthened me. You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.”  - Walt Disney

April 15th - "Feeling overwhelmed and overloaded? It's okay to acknowledge you can't do it all. Breathe deep and realize God doesn't want or expect you to." -   Renee Swope

God delights in His children and He loves us simply because we are His. He never wants us to walk alone, but human nature allows us to think we can attempt to solve our problems on our own.

The Lord will give strength to his people: The Lord will bless His people with peace. ~ Psalm 29:11

"The Lord hears His people when they call to Him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles." - Psalm 34:17

April 14  - Learn to pray in whatever manner works for you; not because you need something, but because you ought to THANK Him for everything.

Sometimes, all it takes is just ONE prayer to change everything. Remember some of the best things in life are free; pray, forgiveness and love. And it is important never to lose sight of that. So look around you. Wherever you see friendship, loyalty, laughter and love...there is your treasure and where you should be.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gifts and talents you have blessed us with. We ask that you would help us to treasure them and to use them for your glory. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

April 13 - The Lord has blessed you with many gifts. All God's gifts to us are good and perfect  and are meant for us to use too help others.  "Whatever is good and perfect  comes to us from God, the Creator of all light, and he shines forever without change or shadow." ~ James 1:17

When you honor people, when you go out of your way to make other feel special, all that honor you’re pouring in will come back to you or your family. You won't be judged based on your neighbor’s gift or how high you rose in the company. You’re going to be judged based on the assignment you were given.

April 12 - Exercise your faith today and claim your joy. His strength is perfect. "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation." Isaiah 12:2

Your problems develop your character. "And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;" Romans 5:3

Drop the idea of becoming someone other than what God has made you; you are already God's masterpiece.  You cannot be improved upon.  You have only to come to it, to know it, to realize it. With His strength and my Faith in Him I will conquer the devil and all that gets in my way.

I'm in Springfield today to watch a little Mid-State Force 16s volleyball. Feels like it's been forever!! Go get them girls!!! Enjoy this beautiful day and practice your SMILING!!

April 11 - Prayer is the most important conversation of the day.

Heavenly Father, I submit my mind, will and heart to you. Help me to see clearly what your plan is for me. Help me to stay close to you always, not living in the past, but pressing forward to the new things you have in store for me. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen

April 10 - “When we believe in lies, we cannot see the truth, so we make thousands of assumptions and we take them as truth. One of the biggest assumptions we make is that the lies we believe are the truth!”  -  Miguel Angel Ruiz

Doesn't assuming usually get us in trouble and make us miserable when we start imagining things that we have no proof of? I'm guilty of it...I've gotten better, but I think we all do this from time to time. The assumptions we pass onto others speak much louder about who we are than those we pretend to know.

The act of forgiveness will take the weight off your shoulder. "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:" Matthew 6:14

April 8 - God, help our hearts to not get comfortable in the places we need to be most cautious of today. Set your minds on the things above, not on earthly things. ~ Colossians 3:2

Let your actions represent your God. "Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." Romans 12:21

Some days it can be difficult to have faith that your life will get better or somehow become what you've been praying for. Please God keep my eyes looking to you for comfort, strengthen, and your promises. Remember the best is yet to come...Your story ends in victory. Your final chapter concludes with you fulfilling your God-given destiny.

April 7 -"You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed" ~ Psalm 139:16, NLT.

As we know, our days have already been written? God has already planned every part of your life from the beginning to the end. He knows every disappointment, every loss and every challenge. The good news is that even though we've had some challenges, even though we've faced some setbacks, our story ends in victory. Our final chapter and everything in between includes fulfilling our God-given destiny and experiencing His eternal restoration.

As spring arrives and new fresh flowers and trees bloom we see God's reminders....If God gives such attention to the of flowers and trees—don’t you think we get His special attention, and He does his best for us? Give your attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes. Don't worry. He is faithful and knows what's best for your life

Such simple reminders in my daily devotions. Life can be very complex at times, but with God by our sides there should be no worries!!

April - 6 - I am glad to know and to be comforted in knowing that whatever tomorrow holds for me, God holds tomorrow and me in the palm of His hand.  Knowing what I know and have experienced, why would I not put all my FAITH and trust in Him? There have been so many things I had seen and experienced that are way beyond my understanding; and He's the only explanation!!

Behold, I have indelibly imprinted (tattooed a picture of you) on the palm of each of My hands; your walls are continually before Me. ~ Isaiah 49:16

April. 5 - God wants to be the center of your life: the center of your conversation, the center of your entertainment, and the center of your relationships. Prayer keeps Him in the center of all you do. Pray whenever you feel the need; no set time or place is required.

I pray while driving, I pray while working, and when relaxing. There are times when I just stop what I’m doing and pray. I cast all my cares on Him…”Lord, I am not going to worry about anything today; I am giving it to You.”

Prayer should be like breathing, natural to do anywhere you are. Pray all day!!!

Let my prayer be set forth as incense before You, the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. ~ Psalm 141:2

April 4 - Don’t you know that day dawns after night, showers displace drought, and spring and summer follow winter?  Then, have HOPE!! Hope forever, for God will not fail you!! ~ Charles Spurgeon

Call me crazy or weird, but I LOVE, LOVE stormy dark weather. I don’t ever remember there being a time when I feared storms.  There are many people who are terrified and fear the worst, which we have seen.

I see it a little differently; this may be God’s way of getting our attention to let us know he’s in charge. Next time you’re put in this position and praying for His protection keep this in mind.

April 2 - Personally I don’t want to look back at my struggles. Where I am today is where I need to be. God has made my life a smooth transition. He’s made me so strong that most of the time I don’t even realize it’s a struggle. Life is what it is and what we make of it. I pray that God has given you strength to get through the tough times and when things get tough rely on Him and those around you for that lift...

Keep in mind; I’m always here to listen. Sunshine or rain, everyday is from our Heavenly Father make the most of it. The sunshine or more importantly a SMILE is all most people need to brighten their day!!

April 1 - What does it look like to be blessed? "God blesses you who are poor, who are hungry now and who weep now." Luke 6.

We are blessed when we realize our need for Jesus. A friend of mine once told me you can see and feel someone who is truly blessed. You can look at them and know they have Jesus in them. What a great compliment that is to hear when you’re an ambassador of Christ. That person becomes the person you want to be around….their attitude and presences become contagious.

Allow Him to take control. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James 4:7

The sky is the limit. "For with God nothing shall be impossible." Luke 1:37

Heavenly Father, we ask that you would touch our lives today. Deliver us from the heaviness we feel in our hearts. Encourage our hearts and give us strength. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

Found this quote on Face book this morning… Thanks Mandy Yount.

I’m thankful for my struggles because without them I wouldn’t have stumbles across my strengths. ~ Alex Elle.
