Thur. Oct. 31 - Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.” - Melody Beattie

Just how grateful are you? I feel that one’s attitude about life in general determines how grateful you are.

There are many times when we feel nothing goes our way and we can find nothing to be grateful for. We may be labeled a negative Ned or Nelly.....If you woke up that morning and are breathing you have something to be grateful for.

Even in those times when we think we can do a better job of satisfying our needs and we fail. We can be sure that God is waiting there to pick us up, even when others around us are not supportive. Take a look at your attitude today. It may need some adjusting.

Wed. Oct. 30 - U“That thou mayest have pleasure is everything, seek pleasure in nothing.” – St John of the Cross

How many times do we make plans for ourselves and look so forward to fulfilling our plans, only for those plans to fall through. I can’t even count the number of times that has happened to me.

I then get all bummed out and pout to God as to why this always happens to me. God is in charge and all knowing There could have been a situation which He was keeping us from harm.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”- Matthew 6:33.

Tues. Oct. 29 - We live in a broken world full of broken people. But isn’t it comforting to know God isn’t ever broken? He isn’t ever caught off guard, taken by surprise, or shocked by what happens next." ~ Lysa TerKeurst

You can put your trust in people, yourself, your job, your bank account and many other things, but all of these are unstable at times.

People can let you down, the money can run out, the job can be over stressful and you don’t know when to say enough is enough!!

Jesus is the Rock, the One Who is the same yesterday, today and forever. – Hebrews 13:8. Put your trust in Him. He will guide you and set you straight, if you allow him to.

I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I trust! – Psalm 91:2

Mon. Oct. 28. - Happy Monday…Great way to start out the new week. Ask God to make you clean and new for the upcoming week.

Let us pray: Heavenly Father, we ask that you would restore the joy in us. Replace worry with peace, heartbreak with love and give us your strength. By faith, we receive it and we thank you in advance. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

Sat. Oct. 26 - Sometimes, people think they have to clean themselves up or change their lives or habits before they can turn to Him, but that’s not what God says. He is ready to help you just as you are. Even if you feel like your life is a mess, He’ll take your mess and turn it into a message. His arms are open wide today and every day. Open your heart and call upon Him. Press on to know Him and His goodness. Enjoy this glorious day!!

Fri. Oct. 25th - The hard part for most people is trusting God even when it seems to us He isn't doing what you've asked Him to do. Rely on family and friends for support to get you through the hard times.

Live life one day at a time, God is there!! Your request may just not be ready for God's perfect time. Keep praying with FAITH knowing He will never leave you or foresake you.

"These trials are only to test your faith, to see whether or not it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests gold and purifies it—and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. It will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day of his return." -1 Peter 1:7

Thurs. Oct 24. - Letting go of the past is not easy, especially if you have wounds that have never properly healed. But, the past is past and living there may be preventing you from fully living in the present.

Likewise, fear of what may be lurking around the corner can also prevent you from fully enjoying the present. Live in the moment and look forward to eternity with God, "Now that's a great present."

The peace of God is soothing, healing, refreshing and comforting. "He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters." Psalms 23:2

Wed. Oct. 23 - Chemo Oncologist Monthly Followup.

The first message was a test to see if you were awake. My mom was the first to report that I sent nothing. Shes the winner!! Not sure what the prize is? (Brenda sends out this message to over a hundred different people through email and the first email she sent was blank.:)

Today I return to my Chemo Oncologist for my monthly followup.

I feel good, and I know that at this point it's just going through the motions to get to the next phase. As most of you know, I've always considered this whole ordeal a blessing in disguise.

There may be some people that have mixed emotions about what's next, what's to come down the road, will my cancer return, etc.... I say bring it on God, together we can handle anything.

My sister will be going with me again today...She's been one of my many rocks from day one, I'm so blessed!! My God, and your God, is an AWESOME God!! With His guidance He is directing our future.

God will walk you through the problem and take you to your next level of blessings.  "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:" 1 Peter 5:6

Tues. Oct. 22 - Stop focusing on your problems and focus on your God. "Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth." Colossians 3:2.

Do you struggle in the quiet of the night?

Maybe you have thoughts like these … Nobody else has troubles. Other people are just enjoying their lives. Why is mine so hard? The battles we face are real, and rob us of joy as well as sleep.

God has a perfect plan for us. He never does it all at once, just step by step because He wants to teach us to walk by FAITH not by sight.

There are many times when we seem to just focus on the things going wrong in our lives, that's natural, but God begs for us to come to Him during those times and He promises comfort.

Even on gloomy cool days like today, He is our warm sunshine. I'm counting on His warmth today. God is So good!!

Mon. Oct. 21 - When you make a mistake God doesn't turn from you, He turns to you.  As Matt Redman's song, "You Never Let Go" states..."Oh no, You never let go.

Through the calm and through the storm. Oh no, You never let go." He never let's go, He's always carrying and comforting us.

God's mercy is bigger than any mistake that you've made. Always remember Psalm 46:10, "Be still, and know that I am God.

I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!" The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Love the Lord your God with all you heart...soul....strength. - Deut 6:5

Sun. Oct. 20 - Give praise and honor to the only God who can do the impossible in your life.

One minute He hits you with what you think is impossible to deal with and the next minute He brings a calming feeling over you and guides you to use your life to work for the good of others.

You are loved more than you will ever know by someone, who died to know you.

"Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright." Psalms 33:1

Sat. Oct. 19 - You may be the only Jesus some people see.  Lead a life that pleases God and becomes contagious.

FAITH is giving up everything to God and recieving everything from Him. Have a glorious God sharing weekend!!

Thurs. Oct. 17 - Are you spreading yourself too thin? Are you neglecting your own happiness because you always cater to the wants and needs of those around you? Helping others is good but don't abandon your own joys!

This is a good quote to remind yourself that you need to love yourself too.

This is a tough one for me. I get enjoyment and great satisfaction out of helping others and seeing them happy. One thing I have discovered over the past few months is that just being me is all I need to do.

Even if it's not physically doing things for someone, that they just enjoy my presence. Thank you God for blessing me with a personality that I can use for your good. Help me to continue to do your work.

Wed. Oct. 16

Sometimes it may feel too hard to do it alone. Sometimes it may seem like you can't figure it out by yourself. Sometimes will and strength and courage are not enough. Sometimes in your life you will need to call out for help. Call on God. God will be there.

When you feel like your faith is wavering, begin to praise God for strength and keep trusting in Him. "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me." John 14:1
