Trinity Lutheran Church To Celebrate Trinity Sunday With Special Guest From Dominican Republic

NEW HAVEN, Mo. - Trinity Lutheran Church in New Haven will be celebrating Trinity Sunday on Sunday May 31. Worship service is at 10 a.m., preceded by education hour at 9 a.m.

Our special guest preacher will be Rev. David Preus, missionary to the Dominican Republic. We welcome guests to join us for worship, study, and fellowship.

New Haven Garden Club Visits Private & Public Gardens In Ste. Genevieve

NEW HAVEN, Mo. - On May 16, members of the New Haven Garden Club attended the Ste. Genevieve Garden Walk 2015.  The event featured tours of private and public gardens, a plant sale, farmer’s  market and wagon rides.

Five Shamrock Senior-Athletes Receive Four Rivers Conference Scholar Athlete Award - Most In School History

NEW HAVEN, Mo. - This year New Haven High School’s senior student-athletes set a new standard for “A Tradition of Excellence”. Five student-athletes achieved this recognition this year, which is the most New Haven High School have ever had in one year.

Student-athletes must meet all of the following criteria to achieve the Conference Scholar Athletes Award
1. Be a senior
2. Have been selected 1st Team All-Conference in any sport at anytime throughout their high school career.
3. Must have lettered in that sport their senior year.
4. Earned a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
5. Scored a 23 or higher on the ACT or a 1060 on the SAT

Today, May 15 is a day we remember officers killed in the line of duty on National Peace Officer Memorial Day.  Flags are lowered to half-staff across the Untied States as a symbol, expressing their sympathy and appreciation to all police officers who place their life on the line everyday, especially those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

New Haven American Legion Auxiliary Announces 2015 Essay Contest Winners

New Haven Garden Club Visits Groner’s Hydroponic Gardens

NEW HAVEN, Mo. - In late April members of the New Haven Garden Club visited Heidi Groner’s hydroponic gardens located south of New Haven. 

The picture above was taken in the greenhouse where Heidi raises tomatoes and in a second greenhouse she raises several varieties of lettuce.

Heidi’s produce can be found in local grocery  stores and at Schnucks Market in Washington. 

Kruse Finalist For 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program

NEW HAVEN, Mo. - New Haven High School Josh Hoener announced on Friday that Hannah Kruse has been named a Finalist in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program.

A Certificate of Merit will be presented to Hannah for this outstanding accomplishment.

A total of 15,000 students across the nation are being recognized as finalists for their exceptional academic promise.  Now the process of some 8,000 Merit Scholarship winners will begin.  Winners of the National Merit Scholarships will be announced in late May.
