Gladys Ottilie Bolte (April 23, 1921 - July 22, 2014)

Gladys Bolte of Beaufort, MO passed away on Tuesday, July 22. 

She is survived by four sons, Gary Bolte and his wife Brenda of Union, MO, Glenn Bolte of Beaufort, MO, Galen Bolte of Beaufort, MO, Greg Bolte and wife Amy of Beaufort, MO.

Mrs. Bolte is also survived by five daughters Bonnie Bolte of Beaufort, MO, Linda Pohlmann and her husband Dale of Beaufort, MO, Janice Pohlmann and her husband Glen of Beaufort, MO, Carol Mangrum and husband Steve of Eurkea, MO, and Ellen Bolte of Beaufort, MO.

Damond Dale Thomas (January 18, 1943 - July 21, 2014)

Damond Dale Thomas, 71, of Hermann, Missouri, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014 at Boone Hospital, Columbia, Missouri.

Mr. Thomas was born in Americus, Missouri on January 18, 1943, the son of the late Sidney and Gussie (Lee) Thomas.

He was the widower of Marilyn Louise (Heiple) Thomas.

Damond worked for over 30 years for A.P. Green of Mexico, Missouri. He was a member of the Hermann Eagles. He enjoyed relaxing and sitting down with friends and drinking a cold beer and playing poker. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and working on old cars.

Raymond C. Hulsey, Jr. (December 27, 1938 - July 18, 2014)

Raymond C. Hulsey, Jr., 75, of Hermann, Missouri, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Hermann Area District Hospital.

Mr. Hulsey was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 12, 1938, the son of the late Raymond Hulsey, Sr. and Marie (Bourbon) Hulsey. He was the wife of Ruth (Hoerstkamp) Hulsey. They were married on November 8, 2003 at Hermann, Missouri. Ruth survives in rural Hermann, Missouri. Raymond (Chalk) is also survived by a daughter Christy(Terry) Coon of Villa Ridge, a daughter Patricia(Larry) Barbaglia of Florrisant, Missouri, a granddaughter Isabella Barbaglia of Florrisant, Missouri, and a step-son Benjamin Lloyd of rural Hermann, Missouri. He was proceeded in death by 3 brothers Lloyd L. Hulsey, Elbert D. Hulsey, and Donald G. Hulsey.

Hilda Bertha Tessmer (August 27, 1909 - July 2, 2014)

Hilda Bertha Tessmer, 104, of New Haven, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at New Haven Care Center.

Mrs. Tessmer was born in New Haven, Missouri on August 27, 1909, the daughter of the late Henry and Lena (Wolff) Berghorn.

She was the widow of Gilmore Tessmer. They were married October 18, 1936 at Washington, Missouri.

Helen Brandenburg Barks (October 3, 1936 - June 27, 2014)

Helen Brandenburg Barks died June 27, 2014 in Frene Valley Health Center at the age of 77 years. She was born October 3, 1936, in St. Louis, Missouri to Fred & Marie (Schuetz) Brandenburg.

Helen grew up in Overland, a suburb of St. Louis, and graduated from Ritenour High School. A second home was her family church, Calvary E & R/ U.C.C. From childhood she was integrally involved in the life of the church. Her singing voice was outstanding. Beginning in grade school she was a soloist at school and church, and was always involved in school, church and community choirs.

On December 28, 1957 she was married to Lyman Barks. They were married for 32 years, during which time they were central leaders in youth work at the church.

Seth P. Slocum, Jr. (September 6, 1936 - June 4, 2014)

Seth P. Slocum, Jr. was born September 6, 1936 in Boonville, Missouri. He passed away on June 4, 2014 at the DeGreeff Hospice House in St. Louis after a long battle with congestive heart failure. His wife, Nancy, and dear friend, Lyndon Ruediger, were by his side.

Survivors include Nancy, his wife of 20 wonderful years; son Terry (Janette), daughter Vicki (Richard) Zastrow, and son Timothy all of New Haven, Missouri; stepdaughters Amy Scheer (Joe Crall) and Angela Scheer (David Berni) of St. Louis, Missouri.

Kenneth L. Alberswerth (April 17, 1931 - June 18, 2014

Kenneth L.  Alberswerth, 83, of New Haven, Mo, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at New Haven Care Center.

Mr. Alberswerth was born in New Haven, Missouri on April 17, 1931, the son of the late Wilbert and Clara (Horstmann) Alberswerth.

Kenneth proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He was a member of Immanuel UMC Senate Grove. He was a farmer.  He farmed day and night, it was his whole life.

Kenneth is survived by two sisters, Arleen Fowler of Webster Groves, Missouri and Joyce Sulltrop & husband Ray of Washington, Missouri and by nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

Ruby Jackisch (January 21, 1922 - June 18, 2014)

Ruby Jackisch, 92, of Hermann, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Hermann Area District Hospital.

Mrs. Jackisch was born in Rhineland, Missouri on January 21, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Parker and Louise (Theissen) Stiers. Ruby lived in Kansas City, Kansas for two years. She then moved to Washington, Missouri and lived there for 34 years. She moved to Hermann in 1972.

Opal L. Crecelius (June 24, 1932 - June 15, 2014)

Opal L. Crecelius, age 81, of Chamois and formerly of New Haven, Mo. passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Opal was born June 24, 1932, in Washington, a daughter to the late Harvey and Gertrude “Gertie” (Brumagin) Myeburger.

Opal attended school at the Allenton School near Eureka.

On December 29, 1956, she was united in marriage to Jack E. Crecelius in St. Clair.  He preceded her in death on November 15, 2003.

Opal worked as a food service supervisor for the Franklin County R-2 School District for nine years and the New Haven School District for 11 years. 

Opal was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chamois and the Chamois Lions Club.
