Citizens Bank's Kim kohlbush Promoted To Asst. VP

NEW HAVEN, Mo. - Citizens Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Kimberly Kohlbusch to Assistant Vice President.

Kimberly has been with the company for 16 years as a Customer Service Representative at the New Haven location.

In 2011 she was promoted as the bank’s Customer Service Supervisor and in 2012 was promoted to Bank Officer and Assistant Cashier.

Pacific Boy lives His Baseball Dream

Drake Vollmer, 10, of Pacific, is given a Major League baseball before he takes to the mound at Mercy’s Day of the Child at the ballpark.

WASHINGTON, Mo. – Drake Vollmer, 10, lived his baseball fantasy by throwing out a first pitch from the mound at Busch Stadium to a Cardinal’s player.

Drake, of Pacific, was one of three young patients invited by Mercy to throw out a first pitch to right fielder Randal Grichuk before the Cardinals played the Milwaukee Brewers April 30 while the team helped Mercy celebrate Day of the Child. Mercy’s Day of the Child celebrates its youngest patients and honors the health care providers who treat them.

“It was awesome,” said Drake, a baseball fan who practiced his pitching before the game.

BOURBON, Mo. –Crawford Electric chose nine finalists this year based on students’ essays on a selected topic. The finalists then competed in a cooperative knowledge quiz and interviewed by a panel of three independent judges.

The three top-scoring high school finalists were Morgan Belloir (Owensville), Jacob Wells (Sullivan), and Jacob Beers (Steelville) are headed to Washington D.C. on an all-expense-paid trip, serving as Crawford Electric’s 2014 delegates at the annual Electric Cooperative Youth Tour in June.

KFAV Receives Country Radio Station And Program Director Of The Year Awards

LOS ANGELES, CA - Earlier this month New Music Weekly announced its winners for their annual New Music Awards.  Local country music radio station KFAV was among some of the biggest names in country to receive awards.

For an unprecedented fourth time KFAV’s Mike Thomas received the Program Director of the Year Award and this year’s New Music Awards marked the first time that KFAV 99.9 FM was named Country Radio Station of the Year.

Along side KFAV, Luke Bryan and Maranda Lambert received Country Male and Female Artists of the Year, Country Group/Duo of the Year went to Band Perry, Florida Georgia Line received Best New Country Group/Duo of the Year, and Blake Shelton’s “Boys Round Here” was the Country Single of the Year.

Gary Kuhn Honored By School Administrators Association

NEW HAVEN, Mo. - Gary P. Kuhn, Chief Operating Officer and President of Citizens Bank was recently honored by the Missouri Association of School Administrators (MASA) for his service to public education.

Mr. Kuhn was one of eight individuals to receive the association's Friend of Education Award.  This special recognition was made during the awards banquet at the MASA Spring Conference on March 19, 2014.

Meagan Ley Recipient Of New Haven Chamber Youth Citizen Of Year Award

NEW HAVEN, Mo. - New Haven High School (NHHS) senior Meagan Ley was presented the Youth Citizen of The Year Award at the New Haven Chamber’s annual banquet dinner on Thursday night.

In his first year as NHHS’s Principal, Josh Hoener presented the award to Meagan.  Hoener said, “Her bio is pretty impressive and even more impressive than I actual knew.”

“Meagan is the Vice President for Student Council, President of FCA, Treasure for National Honor Society, served as captain for both the Cheerleading Squad and Softball team, and is very active in FCCLA and FBLA”, said Hoener.  “That makes me feel pretty lazy actually.”

Quicks Receive Chamber Business Persons of the Year Award

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Every spring, the Missouri Community College Association honors outstanding students and teachers at a luncheon held in Jefferson City.  This event celebrates truly outstanding teachers and highlights the incredible stories of our state’s most successful and determined community college students.

Yesterday Wednesday, March 5th Leigh Kolb of East Central College has received the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.

F/A-18 Hornet Buzzes Washington Regional Airport And Flyover Of New Haven

Washington, Mo. - This morning New Haven High School Graduate Lieutenant Zach Zuroweste blasted over New Haven, flying an F/A-18 A+ Hornet during a routine training mission.  Zuroweste took off from Scott Air Force Base, taking him 15 minutes before first reaching Washington.
