New Haven Youth League Holds 1st Annual Chad Schatz Softball Camp

NEW HAVEN, Mo. - On Saturday and Sunday (May 30 & May 31) the New Haven Youth League held their 1st Annual Softball Camp hosted on by Chad Schatz.

Schatz, a native of Sullivan, Mo, is the Assistant Softball Coach for Missouri S & T in Rolla, Mo.

New Haven, Mo.
- The Lady Shamrocks will enter tonight's district opener on a roll after winning their last two regular season games, scoring a combined 58 runs with wins over Montgomery County and Bourbon.

Monday night New Haven dropped a bomb on Bourbon in a 33-0 win, scoring 25 runs in the second inning alone. It was also the last time New Haven's six seniors would step onto their home field, playing one last time on the same field where their love for the game began.

New Haven Splits Conference Games - Rolling Pass Hermann Then Fell To Sullivan

New Haven, Mo. - After an 11-1 blowout win over Hermann on Tuesday, New Haven suffered their first conference loss to Sullivan in Thursday's home game, 9-1.

Bank of Franklin County's pre-game tailgate kick started New Haven's two out rally in the first inning as the lady rocks capitalized off three Hermann errors that led to four runs and 4-0 lead.

New Haven, Mo. - On the hottest day of the year, with a high of 99 degrees, New Haven began the final inning of the consolation game in Saturday's Softball Classic down 6-4.  It was then when their bats ignited, scoring 13 runs off 10 hits in the inning to catch fire and beat Hancock 17-6.

Coach Tim Scheer was almost speechless following the game saying, "I can't explain it.  I'm not sure what happened in that last inning.  They just flat out hit the ball, and I mean hit it hard."

Monzyk signs letter of intent to play softball at east central

Union, Mo. - Kierstin Monzyk will be attending East Central College this coming fall after officially signing a letter of intent to play softball.

Monzyk ended her senior season leading her team with a .578 batting average, .635 OB%, 37 hits and batting in 21 runs.  She also led New Haven in runs scored, crossing the plate 21 times.

Shamrocks vs Linn Game Highlights

Lady Rocks will play for 3rd place at 5 p.m. this evening at Bock Field.

The Rocks leading 4-3 going into the bottom of the 6th needed to keep the Linn Wildcats from scoring to advance and play in the Championship game. 

New Haven Softball To Play This Weekend At Owensville

The Owensville Softball Tournament was rained out on Sat. Sept. 6. and Owensville was not able to find a date that all of the original teams could come back on.

However, they have put together a 3 team round robin for this coming Saturday (Sept. 20) with Father Tolton Catholic, Owensville, and New Haven.
