New Haven 4th Grade Volleyball Takes 2nd Place At Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Mo. - The future looks bright for the Shamrocks Volleyball program after New Haven’s 4th grade volleyball team took 2nd place in the Montgomery County Volleyball Tournament Friday night. 

The Shamrocks got off to a rock’n start, going 2-0 in pool play, giving them the number 1 seed for the single elimination Championship bracket play.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - The outcome of this weekend’s Class 1 Volleyball State Finals was not what the Lady Shamrocks had hoped for after a three set loss to Santa Fe (25-19, 17-25, 22-25) in Saturday’s Third Place State Match.

After Saturday’s match Coach Jaime Hoener had a lot of positive things to say about this year’s team.

Shamrocks Fall On Bottom Side Of Two Way Tie After Pool Play Will Play For Third Place

Cape Girardeau, Mo - New Haven will play for third place but what an ending to Class 1 pool play.

New Haven controlled their own destiny but by splitting sets with Winona, New Haven will play play for third place on Saturday against Santa Fe at 9 a.m. after a (Correction) 2 way tie between New Haven and St. Vincent both 3-3 after pool play.

Because St. Vincent beat New Haven head to head, that breaks the tie, leaving New Haven seeded third and St. Vincent 2nd.

Shamrocks Control Their Own Destiny Whether They Play For A State Title

Your not going to miss the 1 p.m. game because it’s due or die.  New Haven controls their own destiny whether they will play in tomorrow’s Class 1 State Championship match or for in the third place game.

If New Haven wins both sets against Winona then they are in tomorrow’s state title game regardless of the outcome of St. Vincent/Santa Fe game.

Lady Shamrocks Keep Rocking - Advance To Class 1 Final Four

NEW HAVEN, Mo. - The Lady Shamrocks are headed to Cape Girardeau for the Class 1 Final Four for the 10th time in hopes winning the schools fifth Volleyball State Title.

Saturday in front of a jammed packed crowd, on their home court, New Haven cruised passed Liberal in the sectionals match 25-15, 15-17 as they edged closer to advancing to the State Finals.

In the Quarterfinals New Haven faced a much tougher Green Ridge (23-8-2) team, but still the Shamrocks dominated from start to finish taking them down in straight sets 25-16, 25-14.

BREAKING NEWS - Green October Shamrocks Headed To Final Four

NEW HAVEN, Mo. - The Lady Shamrocks are headed to the Class 1 Final Four at the Show-Me Center in Cape Girardeau after defeating Green Ridge in straight sets 25-16, 25 - 14 Saturday evening.

New Haven will play in Friday’s Round Robin at 9 a.m, 11 a.m, and 1 p.m.; all three games will be broadcasted live on QuickNewsNow.
