Tribute To The Lady Bearcats Run - Winning Their 13th State Championship

By Kyle Quick

Call it what you want.  It was three weeks ago when the Lady Bearcats captured a state record 12th State Championship.  Ironically, Hermann was in the same rotation with Kirsten Leimkuehler serving, running the exact same play that sent them to the Final Four and three weeks later winning them a State Championship.

More irony exists as Hermann’s 1993 State Championship team was recognized before the start of the state title match vs St. Pius and Coach Linda Lampkin said that team was very similar to this year’s team.  “No one really expected us to be here.”

Join us as we look back one more time as Coach Lampkin and the Hermann Lady Bearcats win an unprecedented 12th State Championship.  We hope you enjoy.
