Results from the 2013 New Haven Farm Class Tractor Pull

The New Haven Field Class Tractor Pull had an excellent showing today of local farmers and their out-of-the-field tractors. 

There were a total of 18 tractors in Class A, 8 in Class B, 15 in Class C, 9 in Class D, 18 in Class E, and 8 in Class F.

New Haven, Mo. - Amazing, talented, creative, and breath taking; describes the performance Queen contests put on in Friday afternoon's talent show.

Not to take away from all the extremely talented contests, but one contestant's heroic and inspiring speech stood out the most.  Through her performance she taught everyone a life lesson; "You can accomplish anything if your willing to work hard enough."

She was the only contestant to receive a standing ovation.  We hope you enjoy the video we put together of this year's talent show.

Miss Clara Albers Crowned Queen of the New Haven Youth Fair

New Haven, Mo. - This evening at the New Haven Youth Fair, the Main Stage entertainment kicked off the fair with the Fair Queen Contest.  Miss Clara Albers was crowned Queen of the 34th Annual Contest. 

Clara is a 2013 graduate of New Haven High School and freshman at Southeast Missouri State.

This summer Clara is working as a lifeguard at the New Haven Pool and preparing for her move to college.

Andi Placht named 2013 Franklin County Fair Queen

Union, Mo.- The Franklin County Fair Queen was crowned seconds ago during opening night of the 2013 Franklin County Fair.

Miss Andi Placht, New Haven, daughter of Bill and Barbara Placht was crowned 2013 Miss Franklin County.

She is a ten-year active member of the New Haven 4-H Club and four-year member and current President of the Washington FFA Chapter.

New Haven Youth Fair Kicks Off This Friday

New Haven, Mo. - The annual Car Show will take place Saturday, July 13th. Participants wanting to enter cars can pre-register that morning from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. The judging will take place at noon.

The Queen Contest will take place Friday, July 12th at 7:00 P.M. The contest will include questions to the candidates and an on stage talent show. The public is encouraged to come watch the area young women in the Queen Contest.

Quick News Now is your local fair epicenter; we began our summer fair coverage at the end of June with the Gerald Community Picnic.  

We are now getting ready to kick off an amazing week of coverage with the Franklin County Fair, the New Haven Community Youth Fair, and the Stone Hill Winery Cajun Festival.  

Fair coverage won’t stop there however; we will be bringing you the latest from the Owensville Thresher’s Show, the Gasconade County Fair, and the Washington Town and Country Fair.

Hundreds Turn Out For Gerald Community Picnic

Gerald, Mo. - Hundreds turned out for Saturday's Annual Gerald Community Picnic, which began with a parade and ended with a dazzling fireworks display.

The Gerald Community Picnic has been going on for decades; in fact, most of those we spoke with us couldn't remember when it started, and just said, "We've had a picnic for as long as I can remember."

New Haven, Mo. - Let the countdown begin to the 51st New Haven Community Youth Fair, which will be kicked off with the Queen Contest on Friday, July 12th at 7 p.m.

Last year in Friday night's Tug-of-War we watched as two time defending champions, "Enough Said" had little to say after new comers "Barrett Materials" some how pulled off the set and champions in the men's division.

The Pig Scramble will be Friday, July 12th at 8:00 P.M. Participants must be pre-registered and the form must be postmarked by July 10th.
